On April 20th, our Junior Legacy kids had the privilege of taking part in the opening of the Western Force rugby Game at HBF Park.

This special Anzac Day match is held annually to pay tribute to those who have served in our country, past & present. Although some were feeling nervous, the kids waiting patiently for the players and match officials to join them in the wings before bravely walking onto the pitch, where they were warmly welcomed by a crowd of thousands.

Our wonderful group of Legacy Kids stood proudly and respectfully with their players while the opening ceremony took place. A fly over & fireworks signalled the start of the match and then our junior Legacy families were then able to stay & enjoy the game.

We also had some amazing volunteers who manned the merchandise stall. Thank you to Lauren Durey, Peter Scott, Bronwyn & Adrian Mills, Steve & Angie Stoll & Judy Hanson for their support at this event.

This wouldn’t have all been possible if it wasn’t for Western Force giving our kids this amazing opportunity. We hope to participate again next year.
