The Legacy Torch has arrived in NSW as the Legacy Centenary Torch Relay continues to make its way down the east coast.

The Far North Coast hosted the first relay in NSW, with the torch travelling through Casino, Lismore and Ballina. In Casino the relay started at Casino Drill Hall Amphitheatre, then the Torch travelled to Lismore where the relay continued at Totem Forrest. The Torch was then taken to Ballina where the relay continued at Cr of Park and Hill Street, Shaws Bay.

Next up was Grafton. The relay started at Blue Goose Hotel and travelled a 6km route before concluding at Grafton Memorial Park with the lighting of the cauldron.

Inverell followed soon after with the relay starting from Kurrajong Memorial and travelling an 8km route before concluding at the Inverell Legacy Units.

It was great to see students from the local Macintyre High School cheering on our torch bearers as they passed the school. Former student Sophie McWhirter who has been supported by Legacy since her final years of high school received a warm welcome during her leg of the relay.

Thank you to all our torch bearers for your support.

Next up…Coffs Harbour.
