Legacy is excited to share that we are embarking on a ‘Trek to Remember’ of Gallipoli & Turkey’s Lycian Way this November to raise funds for veterans’ families – and we ...
The Legacy flame has reached the Northern Territory as part of The Legacy Centenary Torch Relay.
After starting at the RAAF Base Darwin, the Torch travelled 10km throughout the city passing through Fannie Bay, The Esplanade and Darwin Cenotaph before concluding at Parliament House with the lighting of the cauldron.
The relay featured 32 torch bearers including the Chief Minister of the Northern Territory, the Hon. Natasha Fyles, the Hon. Mark Monaghan, Speaker of the Northern Territory Legislative Assembly, Jack Hamilton OAM, past president of NT Legacy and Luke Gosling OAM, politician and retired Australian Army Officer.
We were delighted to have pupils from Darwin Middle School and Parap Primary School line the streets and welcome our torch bearers as the flame passed by their respective schools.
A huge thank you to our wonderful torch bearers and volunteers for helping us mark our centenary year.
The torch is now on its way to Queensland. To follow the torch or donate now please visit https://legacytorchrelay.com.au/
