Support Veterans’ Families This ANZAC Day
ANZAC Day is a time to honour those who have served our country, but for many families, the impact of service never fades. Legacy has been keeping the promise to veterans’ families for over 100 years, providing support to partners and children of fallen and injured veterans.
This ANZAC Day, you can help make a difference. Whether you’re hosting a fundraiser, making a donation, or spreading the word, every act of support ensures that veterans’ families are never left behind.
Why Your Support Matters
Legacy provides ongoing support to over 30,000 partners and children of fallen or injured veterans across Australia.
From education assistance and financial relief to mental health and social connection programs, your fundraising efforts help ensure these families are not forgotten.
By fundraising this ANZAC Day, you’re directly impacting the lives of those who have lost a loved one due to service.
Meet Rebecca’s Family
Rebecca’s family knows firsthand the challenges that come with service. Her husband, Andrew, a combat engineer in the Army, was deployed to Afghanistan in 2012, leaving Rebecca at home with their young son, Jordan. When Andrew returned with PTSD, their lives changed forever.
Rebecca faced the harsh realities of supporting her family while trying to help Andrew adjust to life after service. They relocated across the country twice, and the PTSD took a heavy toll on their family.
But in 2021, when Rebecca needed help the most, Legacy stepped in. They provided financial assistance for essentials like school uniforms, childcare, and extracurricular activities, and even assisted Rebecca with grants for her university education.
“Because of Legacy, I’ve been able to attend university with a little less stress, knowing that someone believes in me and is invested in my success,” Rebecca says.
Your support this ANZAC Day can help families like Rebecca’s continue to thrive despite the challenges they face.
