Wollongong and South Coast Legacy
Established in 1947, and extending from Helensburgh in the north to Bega in the south. Club is comprised of 5 Groups or Divisions located at Wollongong, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Narooma and Bega Valley.

Our Legatees are assisted by 5 staff members, 3 at Legacy House Wollongong, one at Legacy House Nowra and one at our Batemans Bay office located in the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club.
Services we provide
Socialisation activities
From monthly morning teas to group social outings and annual celebrations, Legacy provides a regular means of social inclusion for those we support.
Community Visitors and Legatees
Legacy is a voluntary organisation founded on personal service. Throughout Australia, thousands of dedicated volunteers and members regularly visit or call those we support, ensuring they always have someone to lean on.
Holidays and camps
Legacy holds annual recreational camps and holidays as a fundamental way of creating friendships and bonds.
School-age education support
Legacy assists with education costs, school uniforms, laptops and much more. Legacy can help support after-school activities such as music, art, karate, or sports.

Currently care for 1150 widows/dependants, with 115 volunteer/Legatees and 5 staff members.
59 years
Hosted Junior Legatee Camp for the past 59 years.

Being a Legatee is the most rewarding endeavour of my life. It makes me proud of my country when I see the enthusiasm and compassion volunteers bring to their roles as Legatees. I also see just how much enjoyment and fulfilment they get out of it.
