GOSFORD/ERINA & COASTAL CHAMBER AWARDS 2019

We are delighted to advise that Brisbane Water (NSW) Legacy Club is the winner of the 2019 “Excellence In Social Enterprise” Awards.

This award, The Excellence in Social Enterprise Award is open to organisations that have been established or exist to further a social purpose that benefits the community. These organisations have commercial activities, products or services (other than government grants and donations) that provide an income stream to fund social purpose activities.
Key entry criteria was:
• Explain how your purpose contributes to the community, cultural and/or environment
• Outline the product/s and/or services you trade to fund your organisation’s social purpose
• Detail each of the strategies and actions undertaken to achieve your organisation’s social purpose
• Detail measurable evidence of how each of these strategies and actions is contributing to the achievement of the social purpose goals for your organisation.
• Provide an overview of your five year strategy for future growth, sustainability and key milestones detailing how you are working towards achieving them

This is a wonderful recognition for all that are involved in Legacy on the Central Coast.
We automatically now progress to the Regional Awards.

ANZAC DAY - 2019

On Thursday 25 April 2019, 52 Legatees, beneficiaries, residents and staff attended a very respectful ANZAC Day service conducted by our President, Legatee Max Davis. Following the service, the Gosford Torch Bearers assisted with a light morning tea. With special thanks to Mrs Evelyn Eaton, who provided her very delicious (and traditional) ANZAC Day biscuits. Mrs Eaton has been making these for Legacy for the past 16 years.

Many of our Legatees, beneficiaries and residents then attended the service at Gosford Cenotaph, proudly marching behind the Legacy Banner.
