Mr Graham Boyd was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Australia in February 2022.
Previously, Graham was responsible for several retirement villages, first with the Bethanie Group in WA, and then with RSL LifeCare in NSW. For over nine years, he was also the CEO of major cemeteries in Sydney.
Throughout his 11-year military service, he held several roles, including Staff Officer (Supply) to the Director of Naval Manning and Policy; Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Tasmania for Australia’s Bicentennial year where he was involved in four major Royal visits; Secretary to the Commander of the Australian Submarine Squadron and Deputy Supply Officer on the river class destroyer HMAS Parramatta.
During his tenure as a senior officer with the Commonwealth Attorney General, Graham was the first accountant to gain the Postgraduate Study Award when he was a senior officer with the Commonwealth Attorney-General, which allowed him to gain his Master of Business Administration from the University of Sydney. He was awarded the Institute of Management Consultants’ medal for being the outstanding graduate for his MBA.
Graham joined Legacy in 1991 when he was inducted as a Legatee, joining the Ryde-Eastwood Division, before becoming CEO of Sydney Legacy in 1997, a position he held for over seven years. Before joining Legacy Club Services in 2019, Graham was Chairman of the St George Sutherland Division of Sydney Legacy until his appointment as Director Fundraising Marketing and Communications at Legacy Club Services.
When he is not at Legacy, Graham enjoys caring for two British shorthair cats named Lilly and Pepper. Over the weekends, he enjoys watching family movies with his children. He lives in The Shire with his wife Nadia, and has five children, Emma, Joshua, Samuel, Nathan and Trinity.
