Charmian Morris

Legatee Charmian Morris joined Legacy in 2013 and has served Warrnambool Legacy Club for over 10 years.  Recently, Charmian completed a two-year term as President of Warrnambool Legacy, the final year of her term included Legacy’s Centenary year celebrations.

Charmian was elected to the Legacy Australia Board in November 2023 as the Rural Victoria Director.  She was also elected Treasurer of the Board and Chair of the Finance, Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Having almost 30 years of experience working for the World Bank in Washington DC, whose primary role is to provide aid to developing countries across the globe, Charmian brings a wealth of financial and administrative expertise to the Board of Legacy Australia. Her responsibilities at the World Bank included oversight of a multi-million dollar budget allocated for the delivery of programs in Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan.  As the Operational Analyst of the Eastern and Southern Africa Division, Charmian was instrumental in negotiating the legal agreement between the World Bank and Zimbabwe which resulted in the delivery of a US$20 million project to the country.

During her time in Washington DC, Charmian was very involved with St Clements Episcopal Church as a member of the Vestry.

Charmian is married to Ian, who is also a Legatee, and they have three daughters.
