"Legacy took care of our desperate financial situation straight away. They gave us some stability and hope at a time when we were most vulnerable." - Rebecca Beckwith

A time to remember those who have fallen.

Australia will come to a standstill at 11am on Remembrance Day to observe a minute’s silence in gratitude to the great men and women who have died or suffered in armed conflicts for the sake of our country.

Our thoughts will turn especially to the 39 young Australians who have paid the ultimate price during operations in Afghanistan. The Roll of Honour includes the names of each soldier in commemoration of their selfless sacrifice.

November 11th is a special time for the nation. But every single day of the year, the memories live on for the families of these Australian Defence Force Personnel, who must find a way to go on in spite of their tragic loss. The grief and hardship of farewelling a dearly loved spouse or parent lasts a lifetime.

Since 1923 Legacy has kept their promise to Australian veterans and taken care of the families of those who have died or become incapacitated as a result of their active service.

Legacy is there to keep the promise to the families of Australia’s deceased and incapacitated veterans – not just in the short-term, but for life, as long as we are needed.

Your generosity remains vital to the people we support. This Remembrance Day please join us in honouring our fallen heroes by donating to Legacy and helping to support and assist the families they have left behind.

You can make a huge difference to the lives of Legacy families. Please dig deep and help
‘Keep the Promise’.

Please contact your local RSL State Branch if you wish to purchase a poppy. Legacy does not sell poppies.
